Description
This Tajweed course is designed to help learners perfect their recitation of the Qur’an by mastering the rules of pronunciation, articulation, and proper phonetic flow. The course begins by introducing the foundations of Tajweed, including the definition, purpose, and importance of preserving the original pronunciation of the Qur’an as taught by the Prophet ﷺ. Students learn the basic building blocks—Arabic letters, makhārij (articulation points), and ṣifāt (characteristics of letters)—using clear explanations and practical demonstrations.
As learners progress, the course covers essential Tajweed rules such as rules of noon sākin and tanwīn, meem sākin, qalqalah, madd (elongation), and the principles of ghunnah. Each rule is taught with examples from the Qur’an and guided recitation practice to ensure correct application. Special attention is given to common mistakes (lahn) and how to avoid them, helping students refine accuracy and fluency.
The program also integrates rhythm, stopping rules (waqf), and recitation flow, enabling learners to recite with confidence and beauty. Students practice selected verses and sūrahs under supervision to apply all rules in real-time recitation. The course’s structured approach ensures steady improvement, whether the learner is a beginner or someone seeking to polish existing skills.
By the end of the course, students will confidently recite with proper Tajweed, understand how each rule functions, and develop the discipline and clarity needed to maintain accurate recitation throughout their Qur’anic journey
