Course overview
The Islamic Studies Course offers a structured, age‑appropriate program that helps young learners understand and love the core teachings of Islam in a balanced, practical way. Students explore essential subjects such as Aqidah (belief), Fiqh (worship and daily rulings), Seerah (the Prophet’s life), Hadith, Tafsir of selected surahs, and Islamic manners, all presented through engaging stories, activities, and real‑life examples. By combining sound knowledge with character building, the course aims to strengthen a child’s faith, connect them to the Quran and Sunnah, and guide them in living Islam confidently in everyday life.
Curriculum and structure
- Beginner levels (younger kids) focus on Allah’s names, simple duas, basic wudu and salah concepts, and short stories from the Prophets.
- Higher levels (older kids/teens) add more detailed Aqidah, Fiqh of daily worship, Seerah events, and practical ethics for school, family, and online life.
Aqidah: beliefs about Allah, angels, books, prophets, the Hereafter, and Qadr.
- Fiqh: purification, Salah, Sawm, Zakah basics, Halal and Haram in daily situations.
- Akhlaq & manners: honesty, kindness, respect, modesty, and Islamic etiquette at home, school, and online.
Seerah & history: life of the Prophet ﷺ and key moments in early Islamic history, plus inspiring stories of the Prophets
- Live one‑to‑one or small‑group sessions using storytelling, discussion, short texts, and simple activities rather than lectures only.
- Lessons are arranged in units or modules with clear objectives, regular quizzes or reviews, and parent updates so children progress steadily through each level of the Islamic Studies track.
Teachers and teaching style
Teachers
Islamic Studies classes are taught by qualified male and female teachers with strong backgrounds in Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, Seerah, and Aqidah, many of whom are graduates of recognized Islamic institutions and have experience working specifically with children. They are chosen not only for their knowledge, but also for patience, good character, and their ability to explain Islamic concepts in simple, age‑appropriate language.
Teaching style
The teaching style is interactive and story‑based rather than lecture‑only, using real‑life examples, questions, and discussions to help children connect what they learn to home, school, and online life. Lessons often include short stories from Seerah, practical scenarios, and small activities or projects, with one‑to‑one or small‑group formats that allow teachers to personalize explanations and keep every child engaged.
How online Tajweed session works
Begin with salaam, a short duaa, and a quick review of last lesson (for example, asking 2–3 easy questions about the previous story or concept).
- This helps children reconnect with the topic and prepares them to build on what they already know.
Introduce one clear topic such as a pillar of Islam, a short Seerah story, a new dua, or an Islamic manner (e.g. honesty, saying salaam).
- Use age‑appropriate storytelling, visuals, or a short video, then pause to ask simple questions so the child stays active, not just listening.
Do one interactive activity related to the topic: role‑play wudu steps, act out good manners, complete a quick quiz, or discuss “how do we use this at home or school?”.
- For younger kids, you can add drawing or showing objects on camera; for older kids, a short scenario to think through is effective.
Summarize the key point in one or two sentences (for example: “Today we learned why telling the truth is important to Allah”).
- Give a very small homework: memorize one dua, tell parents the story, or practice one good deed and share it next lesson, and briefly inform parents of what was covered.
