Course overview
The Quran Course provides a structured path from basic reading to confident, beautiful recitation with Tajweed, tailored for both children and adults. Students learn to recognize and pronounce Arabic letters correctly, apply essential Tajweed rules, read full ayat fluently, and, if desired, begin memorizing selected surahs with guided revision. Alongside recitation, the course nurtures a deeper personal connection with the Quran, encouraging reflection on meanings and consistent practice in daily life.
Curriculum and structure
Learn Arabic alphabet, vowels, joining letters, and basic reading using a primer such as Noorani/Noor Al‑Bayan.
- Practice short words and simple verses, focusing on Makharij (letter points) and simple rules like stretching (Madd) and stopping.
Read continuous Quranic text from shorter surahs and selected passages, improving speed and accuracy.
- Study core Tajweed rules (Ghunnah, Qalqalah, Ikhfa, Idgham, rules of Nun Sakinah and Meem Sakinah) and apply them directly while reciting.
Begin memorizing chosen surahs (often from Juz Amma and other key surahs), with a structured plan for revision and retention.
- Learn brief Tafsir and key vocabulary of memorized surahs, connecting recitation to meaning and daily life.
Teachers and teaching style
Teachers
Our Quran courses are taught by qualified male and female teachers with strong backgrounds in Tajweed, Hifz, and Quranic studies, many holding Ijazah or formal certification from recognized institutions. They are experienced in teaching children and adults online, fluent communicators, and carefully selected for their character, patience, and professionalism.
Teaching style
The teaching style is one‑to‑one, interactive, and student‑centred, using clear explanations, step‑by‑step practice, and gentle correction to build confidence in reading and memorization. For young learners, teachers use child‑friendly methods such as visuals, games, and short activities, while providing regular feedback to parents and adapting the pace to each child’s ability.
How online Quran session works
Begin with greeting, duaa, and very short check‑in to settle the student.
Review yesterday’s lesson: previously read ayat or memorized lines, focusing on Tajweed corrections and confidence.
Introduce a small, clear portion: new letters/words for beginners, or a few new ayat for readers and Hifz students.
- Model correct recitation slowly, then have the student repeat in small chunks, correcting Makharij, stretching, and common mistakes in real time.
Let the student read the whole new portion alone 1–2 times while the teacher listens and fine‑tunes Tajweed.
- For children, add a quick game, praise, or mini‑challenge (e.g. “read without stopping,” “find the letter ق ”) to keep engagement high.
Summarize what was achieved in this lesson and clarify a very small homework task (specific lines or ayat to revise).
- Briefly inform the parent or adult learner about progress and what to focus on before the next 30‑minute session.
