Quran Course

Course overview

The Quran Course provides a structured path from basic reading to confident, beautiful recitation with Tajweed, tailored for both children and adults. Students learn to recognize and pronounce Arabic letters correctly, apply essential Tajweed rules, read full ayat fluently, and, if desired, begin memorizing selected surahs with guided revision. Alongside recitation, the course nurtures a deeper personal connection with the Quran, encouraging reflection on meanings and consistent practice in daily life.

Curriculum and structure
1. Level structure

Most academies structure the course like this:

  • Beginner: Noorani/Qaida, Arabic alphabet, joining letters, short/long vowels, basic Tajweed.

  • Intermediate: Fluent Quran reading, full Tajweed rules, practice on short and medium surahs.
  • Advanced: Strong fluency, complex Tajweed (madd, waqf, ikhfa, idgham, etc.), long surahs, revision and Khatm.
2. Core components of the curriculum

A solid Quran course normally includes:

  • Quran reading skills: Alphabet, makharij (articulation points), connecting letters, reading any word confidently.

  • Tajweed rules: Noon/Meem Saakinah, Qalqalah, Madd, Ghunna, rules of stopping and starting, practical application in every lesson.

  • Recitation practice: Regular tilawah of selected surahs, focusing on fluency, rhythm, and correct pronunciation.

  • Memorization (optional track): Hifz of short surahs at beginner level, then longer surahs with revision plans.

  • Understanding & adab: Basic meanings of short surahs and essential Quran manners (respect for Mushaf, listening etiquette, etc.).

3. Weekly structure and assessment

Effective online Quran courses use a predictable rhythm:

  • 2–5 live classes per week (1:1 or small group), 30–60 minutes each.

  • Short homework: reading lines, revising surahs, practicing specific Tajweed rules.

  • Regular assessments:

    • Oral tests on reading and Tajweed.

    • Periodic revision weeks and small exams at the end of each level or juz.

4. Example beginner‑level outline

A sample starter curriculum might look like this:

  • Weeks 1–4: Alphabet, makharij, short vowels, basic joining.

  • Weeks 5–8: Long vowels (madd letters), sukoon, shaddah, tanween, simple words from the Quran.

  • Weeks 9–12: Reading short ayat and surahs (e.g. سورة الفاتحة, الإخلاص,الناس with core Tajweed.

  • Final assessment: Read from any page of the Mushaf at beginner speed with correct basics.

If you like, the curriculum can be adapted next for kids onlyadults only, or Hifz‑focused tracks.

Key Points

Teachers and teaching style

Teachers

Our Quran courses are taught by qualified male and female teachers with strong backgrounds in Tajweed, Hifz, and Quranic studies, many holding Ijazah or formal certification from recognized institutions. They are experienced in teaching children and adults online, fluent communicators, and carefully selected for their character, patience, and professionalism.

Teaching style

The teaching style is one‑to‑one, interactive, and student‑centred, using clear explanations, step‑by‑step practice, and gentle correction to build confidence in reading and memorization. For young learners, teachers use child‑friendly methods such as visuals, games, and short activities, while providing regular feedback to parents and adapting the pace to each child’s ability.

How online Quran session works

  • After a short assessment, the tutor sets a level‑based plan (Qaida, reading, Tajweed, Hifz, or revision).
  • Lessons move at your pace, with extra practice on difficult sounds or surahs, and homework to read or memorize between sessions.
4. Tools and follow‑up
